The Danfoss / Eaton Ermeto Small Hex Union is specifically designed for hydraulic instrumentation and chemical processing systems. This fitting is perfect for high-pressure applications providing exceptional resistance to vibration.

Constructed from AISI/SAE 12L14 carbon steel with an exclusive Weathercotereg; finish it fully resists nonflammable hydraulic fluids. No tube flaring is required and it is suitable for use with aluminum hard or half-hard copper steel stainless steel and extra heavy wall tubing. It meets ASA ASME and SAE specifications and standards.

Operating within a pressure range dependent on tube size this fitting can handle temperatures from -65deg;F to +400deg;F at maximum operating pressures and has been used at 800deg;F with pressures ranging from 1000 psi to 4000 psi.

does this fitting work with stainless steel tubing or is it just for regular steel?

Stainless steel tubing is fully supported. The 7305X12 is rated for use with aluminum, hard or half-hard copper, steel, stainless steel, and extra heavy wall tubing. No flaring is needed for any of those tube types, which makes it a solid choice when you're working with materials that are tough to flare in the field.
