The 7000 Series Ermeto Steel Flareless Fitting 1.00 Inch Tube OD Small Hex Union offers exceptional high-pressure performance eliminating tube flaring. Crafted from AISI/SAE 12L14 carbon steel with Weathercotereg; finish it resists the effects of nonflammable hydraulic fluids ensuring durability and reliability.

Designed for use with aluminum copper steel stainless steel and extra heavy wall tubing that cannot be flared it is ideal for hydraulic instrumentation and chemical processing systems. Meeting ASA ASME and SAE standards this fitting is highly suitable for demanding applications.

The operational pressure and temperature range vary depending on the tube and fitting size capable of withstanding -65deg;F to +400deg;F at maximum pressures and has been tested up to 800deg;F and 1000 psi to 4000 psi. Additionally it exhibits excellent resistance to vibration.

fitting says it works with stainless steel tubing -- does that include extra heavy wall stainless or just standard wall?

Extra heavy wall tubing is actually one of the main use cases for this fitting. Standard flareable tubing can usually be handled other ways, but when wall thickness makes flaring impractical or impossible, that's exactly where the 7000 Series Ermeto steps in. It's compatible with aluminum, hard or half hard copper, steel, stainless steel, and extra heavy wall tubing that can't be flared. So yes, heavy wall stainless is well within scope here.
