The Danfoss / Eaton Ermeto Male Connector is crafted for hydraulic instrumentation and chemical processing systems meeting ASA ASME and SAE standards. Manufactured from AISI/SAE 12L14 carbon steel with a Weathercotereg; finish it provides robust resistance to nonflammable hydraulic fluids and operates efficiently within a temperature range of -65deg;F to +400deg;F with an extended capacity up to 800deg;F under specific conditions.

An excellent high-pressure fitting it eliminates the need for tube flaring and is suitable for use with aluminum hard or half-hard copper steel stainless steel and extra heavy wall tubing. This fitting supports a wide operating pressure range contingent on tube and fitting sizes and offers outstanding vibration resistance.

Will this fitting work with regular copper tubing, or does it have to be that extra thick stuff?

This Ermeto fitting is designed for use with aluminum, hard or half-hard copper, steel, stainless steel, and extra heavy wall tubing that can't be flared.

does this fitting work with steel tubing or is it only for soft stuff like copper?

Steel tubing is fully supported, along with aluminum, hard or half-hard copper, stainless steel, and extra heavy wall tubing. The flareless design actually makes it a solid pick for tubing that can't be flared in the first place, so harder materials are right in its wheelhouse. Just make sure your tube OD is 0.25 inch and you're connecting to a 1/4-18 male NPT port.
