The Danfoss / Eaton Ermeto Male Connector is designed for hydraulic, instrumentation, and chemical processing systems, particularly for high-pressure applications. This fitting boasts excellent vibration resistance and does not require tube flaring, making it suitable for use with extra heavy wall tubing.

An excellent choice for various applications, it conforms to ASA, ASME, and SAE standards and specifications. Constructed from AISI/SAE 12L14 carbon steel, it features a Weathercotereg; finish, ensuring full resistance to nonflammable hydraulic fluids.

Operating pressures vary based on the size of the tube and fitting, with a temperature range from -65deg;F to +400deg;F at maximum operating pressures. It has also been used in temperatures up to 800deg;F and pressures ranging from 1000 psi to 4000 psi, depending on the tube size.

A broad selection of sizes and styles is available, making it a versatile component in various systems. This fitting is compatible with aluminum, hard or half copper, steel, stainless steel, and extra heavy wall tubing.

fitting says it works with steel and stainless tubing but what about hard copper, just want to make sure before I order

Hard copper is on the approved list alongside steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and half copper. The key requirement is extra heavy wall tubing, since these fittings are built around that wall thickness. Standard thin-wall copper won't cut it here. As long as your copper tubing meets the extra heavy wall spec, you're good to go.

Trying to swap out a connector on a 1/2 inch tube run, will this one mate up to a 1/2-14 male NPT port?

does this fitting work with regular steel tubing or does it have to be some special kind?

Steel tubing is one of the compatible options for this fitting. It also works with aluminum, hard or half copper, stainless steel, and extra heavy wall tubing that cannot be flared. The flareless design is actually what makes it practical for extra heavy wall tubing, since that material typically can't be flared without cracking or deforming. No special preparation on the tube end is needed beyond what a standard flareless installation requires.
