Danfoss / Eaton Piston Pump ASSY

Description & Features

Designed for medium-duty closed-circuit mobile applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Piston Pump Assy is a variable displacement axial piston pump suited to demanding mobile hydraulic systems. Displacement ranges from 20cc to 49cc (1.22 to 3.00 cu in), providing flexibility across a broad range of flow requirements without requiring unit substitution.

The sealed system design keeps contamination risk low and simplifies control inputs, making it a practical choice for equipment operating in harsh or remote environments. Typical applications include mining machinery, dump truck lift circuits, agricultural tractors, and railroad equipment, contexts where reliable closed-circuit performance is a core requirement.

Manufactured under the Eaton Char-Lynn brand, this pump is built to the engineering standards associated with the 70160 Series platform.

Question by: Jerry R on Mar 20, 2026, 9:33 PM
pump says 20cc to 49cc displacement, does that mean it adjusts while running or do you set it before install?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 22, 2026, 10:46 AM
Variable displacement on this pump means the output can be adjusted across that range rather than being locked at a fixed rate. The 70160 series uses manual control, so the displacement setting is operator-driven rather than automatic. That range, 20cc up to 49cc, gives you real flexibility depending on how much flow your system needs at a given time.
