is this the plug that goes on the solenoid valve coil, the little connector piece? trying to replace one that got cracked on our press line

That's what this is. The 710776 is a DIN-style connector plug made as a spare part for Vickers (now sold under the Eaton Vickers brand) hydraulic valves. It fits into that coil connection point on the solenoid valve and carries the electrical signal that actuates the valve. If your old one cracked or broke, this is the direct replacement piece to get you back up and running.
