Danfoss / Eaton Weatherhead 7255X16 Female Connector Female 1-11 1/2 FPT Line/Hose/Tube Carbon steel

Description & Features

A straight adapter configuration in carbon steel, the Danfoss / Eaton Weatherhead 7255X16 Female Connector joins a 1-inch NPTF male end to a 1-inch female FPT line, hose, or tube connection. Built to meet and exceed SAE standards for operating pressure, it is suited for demanding hydraulic system configurations where reliable threaded connections are required.

Finished with Eaton's Dura-Kote plating, this fitting provides corrosion resistance well above standard carbon steel fittings. The 1.5-inch hex size and 0.5 lb package weight reflect a compact, practical form factor for installation in tight assemblies. Certified to SAE 080103, it is part of Eaton Aeroquip's broad range of straight adapter styles.

Question by: Ross E on Nov 21, 2025, 5:05 PM
fitting says 1-11 1/2 FPT on the female end, that the standard NPT pipe thread size for a 1 inch connection?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 23, 2025, 6:20 AM
The female end on this connector uses 1-11 1/2 FPT threading, which is a 1-inch NPTF thread with 11.5 threads per inch. NPTF and NPT share the same thread geometry, so it will engage standard NPT fittings, but NPTF is a dryseal design that creates a pressure-tight seal through thread interference rather than relying solely on sealant tape. For hydraulic applications, that distinction matters.
