clamp says 6.25 to 7.125 inch outer diameter range -- does that mean it'll fit a hose with a 6 inch inner diameter or is that a different measurement altogether?

Outer diameter and inner diameter are two separate measurements, so it helps to keep them straight. The 6.25 to 7.125 inch range refers to the outside of the hose itself. That said, the product is listed for use with hoses that have a 6 inch inner diameter, so if your hose has a 6 inch ID, you're likely in the right range. Just make sure the OD of your specific hose falls within that 6.25 to 7.125 inch window before ordering.
