A 90-degree elbow adapter connecting a 3/8 in. NPTF male end to a 3/4 in. female line/hose/tube end, this Danfoss / Eaton Tube Fitting 7000 Series Ermeto is manufactured from carbon steel and designed for flareless tube connections in demanding hydraulic applications.

Part of Eaton Aeroquip's Ermeto 7000 Series, the fitting features Dura-Kote plating for corrosion resistance and is rated to perform at operating pressures exceeding SAE standards. Certified to ASA, SAE 080202, MS, and ASME standards, it suits a broad range of industrial hydraulic conditions. The 0.87 in. hex and compact drop dimension of 1.24 in. support installation in space-constrained assemblies.

what kind of connection does this fitting make exactly, is it a male thread on one end going into a tube on the other?

One end is a male NPTF thread, and the other end accepts a tube or hose line using a flareless bite-style connection. The 90 degree angle between them makes it useful when you need to change direction in a tight hydraulic connections run without adding extra bends or unions. The NPTF thread is a dry-seal design, so it forms a pressure-tight joint at the threads themselves rather than relying on a sealant alone.
