A carbon steel 90° elbow adapter built for demanding hydraulic line and hose routing, the Danfoss / Eaton Weatherhead 7405X8X8 connects SAE 37° male ends in a right-angle configuration with a 1/2-14 NPTF thread. Rated and certified to ASME, SAE, and ASA standards, it is designed to perform well beyond conservative service conditions.
Finished with Eaton's Dura-Kote plating, this fitting offers strong corrosion resistance suited to harsh industrial environments. It is manufactured to support operating pressures above standard SAE requirements, giving system designers additional margin when selecting components. The fitting belongs to Eaton Aeroquip's extensive elbow adapter range, which includes hundreds of configurations to accommodate varied hydraulic circuit layouts.

Will this fitting hold up under high pressure in a hydraulic system?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 16, 2025, 6:52 AM
The fitting is designed for varied applications far exceeding conservative conditions, suggesting it can handle high pressure situations.
Question by: Freddie F on Apr 5, 2025, 10:54 AM
does the Dura-Kote plating on this fitting hold up decent in wet or humid conditions, or is that more of a marketing thing
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 6, 2025, 2:57 PM
Dura-Kote plating is specifically applied to give these fittings better corrosion resistance than standard carbon steel hardware. It goes beyond what most bare steel fittings offer, so for environments with moisture exposure or occasional washdowns, it holds up considerably better than uncoated alternatives. That said, it is still a carbon steel core, so it is not the same as stainless. For moderately harsh conditions, it performs well.
