what size hose is this fitting made for, and is it the male end on the ORB side?

Sized for a dash 8 hose, and yes, the ORB port end is the male connection. The other end handles the line, hose, or tube side, with a 1.0625 inch hex for wrench access during installation. Carbon steel construction throughout.
