Brake Adapter

Description & Features

Configured as a 90° elbow, this Eaton Aeroquip Brake Adapter connects a 1/4 inch Nptf male thread to a 19/32 inch Nptf female thread, making it well-suited for brake line routing where a right-angle transition is required. The 90-degree geometry allows for direction changes in tight installations without sacrificing flow path integrity.

Finished with Dura-Kote plating, this adapter provides strong resistance to corrosion in demanding service environments. It is engineered to perform at operating pressures that exceed standard Sae requirements, and it is part of a broad product family offering hundreds of fitting configurations for flexible system design.

Question by: Lynn H on Jun 24, 2025, 6:47 AM
does this fit a 1/4 inch pipe thread on one end? trying to figure out if it'll work for a brake line setup i'm dealing with
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 25, 2025, 11:45 AM
Both ends on this adapter are NPTF threads. One end is 1/4 inch and the other steps up to 19/32 inch, so yes, the 1/4 inch end is NPTF. That taper thread design gives you a pressure-tight seal without needing extra sealant tape in most cases. It's a 90 degree elbow configuration, so it also lets you change direction on the line, which comes in handy when you're working in tight spots around brake components.

Will this adapter hold up to brake line pressures in a heavy-duty truck application?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 25, 2025, 6:23 AM
Dura-Kote plating on this Eaton Aeroquip brake adapter gives it superior corrosion resistance, and it's designed to handle operating pressures exceeding SAE standards, which makes it a good choice for demanding applications.
