Brass Male Bspt Nipple

Description & Features

Machined from brass, this straight male-to-male nipple provides a compact, corrosion-resistant solution for connecting two BSPT-threaded ports in hydraulic and industrial fluid systems. With a 3/8" BSPT male thread (R 3/8-19) on one end and a 1/4" BSPT male thread (R 1/4-19) on the other, it functions as a reducing nipple bridging two different port sizes within a single inline fitting.

The Adaptall 8010-06-04 Brass Male Bspt Nipple has an overall length of 27.5 mm and a wrench flat width of 17 mm, making it suited for installations where space is limited. Brass construction offers good compatibility with a range of hydraulic fluids and is well suited to moderate-pressure applications where thread-sealing integrity is essential.

What size threads does this have? I see 3/8" and 1/4", just want to make sure I'm reading that right.

You're spot on. It's got a 3/8" BSPT male thread on one side and a 1/4" BSPT male thread on the other. That lets you connect two different sized ports.

got a 3/8 port on one piece of equipment and a 1/4 on the other -- will this nipple connect them both inline without needing extra adapters?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 23, 2025, 6:20 PM
That's what it's built for. One end carries a 3/8 BSPT male thread and the other end is 1/4 BSPT male, so it bridges those two different port sizes in a single straight fitting. No extra adapters needed in between. Just make sure both your ports are BSPT threaded and not NPT, since those two thread types look similar but aren't interchangeable.
Question by: Kurt E on Apr 23, 2025, 1:06 PM
trying to hook a 3/8 BSPT port to a 1/4 BSPT port without a bunch of extra fittings, is this the right piece?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 25, 2025, 6:27 AM
For that exact reduction, it fits the bill. One end is R 3/8-19 BSPT male and the other end is R 1/4-19 BSPT male, so it bridges those two BSPT port sizes in a straight, inline nipple.
