Non-conductive convoluted hose

Description & Features

Designed for demanding industrial environments, this non-conductive convoluted hose from Eaton Aeroquip features a Teflon inner tube reinforced with a single-ply stainless steel braid, providing reliable fluid transfer across a broad operating temperature range starting as low as -65°F. The convoluted construction maintains flexibility while withstanding vibration and impulse conditions that would compromise standard hose assemblies.

Certified to SAE 100R14A, this Everflex series hose is compatible exclusively with Conv-O-Crimp hose ends and suits a wide range of industries, including chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food processing, automotive, steel mills, bus and truck, and electronics manufacturing, among others. Its Teflon tube material resists degradation from aggressive media, and the stainless steel reinforcement and cover contribute to premium abrasion resistance. The -24 dash size carries a minimum bend radius of 4.5 inches, making it manageable in installations where routing space is limited.

Question by: Johnny Y on Aug 31, 2025, 3:27 PM
Can this hose handle the heat from steam applications without breaking down on me?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 2, 2025, 6:51 AM
This hose is made with Teflon, so it's impervious to degradation even with high temperatures. It also withstands vibration and impulsing, which can happen in steam systems.
Question by: Wade P on May 23, 2025, 7:04 PM
Hose says non-conductive but the reinforcement is stainless steel, how does that work exactly?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 25, 2025, 6:34 AM
Stainless steel braid on the outside handles the structural reinforcement, but the inner tube is PTFE, which is the non-conductive element. Since the fluid never contacts the stainless layer and the PTFE lining acts as the barrier between the fluid path and the braid, the assembly still qualifies as non-conductive under SAE 100R14A. It's a common point of confusion with braided PTFE hose, but the conductivity rating applies to the fluid path, not the outer cover.
