what size hex drive do I need to pull this plug out if I gotta get into the port later on?

The plug takes a 25 mm hex socket. That's the width across the flats, so grab a 25 mm socket or wrench and you're good to go. Since it uses a standard hex socket drive, pulling it and reinstalling it is pretty straightforward, which comes in handy when you're working on circuits that get opened up more than once.
