Designed for three- or four-way directional control in demanding industrial hydraulic systems, the Vickers DG4V 3 2A M U P7 60 is a single-stage directional control valve rated for flow up to 80 litres per minute. It mounts on industry-standard subplate surfaces, making it straightforward to integrate into a wide range of circuit configurations.
Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across typical hydraulic media. The valve is suited to a broad spectrum of industrial applications, including machine tools, presses, die casting and foundry equipment, primary metal and paper machinery, marine and offshore installations, turbine control systems, and test and simulation equipment. Thousands of model configurations are available across the DG4V-3 series, supporting diverse flow, actuation, and porting requirements.

Question by: Diane H on Feb 9, 2026, 6:24 AM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 lpm -- is that enough for a press application or should i be looking at something bigger
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 10, 2026, 3:00 PM
For most press circuits, 80 litres per minute is a solid working capacity, and the DG4V-3 series is explicitly rated for press applications. Whether that ceiling fits your setup depends on the demands of your specific circuit, but the valve was built with press use in mind, so the flow rating reflects real-world press conditions rather than just bench specs.
Question by: Marvin M on Jul 24, 2025, 1:00 PM
Can this handle continuous operation in a hydraulic press, or does it need cool-down periods?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 26, 2025, 7:14 AM
Application-wise, this Vickers directional control valve can definitely be used in presses, along with machine tools, die casting setups, and even marine/offshore environments.
