VICKERS DG4V32AMUB660EN38

Description & Features

The Eaton Vickers DG4V32AMUB660EN38 directional control valve is suitable for die casting and foundry applications, as well as machine tools, marine/offshore equipment, presses, primary metal manufacturing, paper mills, test equipment and simulation, and turbine control systems using wind, steam, or water.

Featuring a Buna-N seal material, this Vickers valve offers low leakage and high head loss capabilities. Typical leakage is 5ml/min/land at 100 bar head loss x 2 standard valve. Special spools have increased overlap.

Question by: Jerry H on Apr 24, 2025, 8:32 AM
what exactly makes this a "low leakage" version compared to a standard DG4V3 valve? trying to figure out if it's worth the difference for our application
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 25, 2025, 4:39 PM
Typical leakage on this valve runs about 5ml per minute per land at 100 bar, which is already notably tight. The key difference from a standard unit is that the spools have increased overlap built in, which cuts down on bypass leakage across the lands. The tradeoff is higher head loss, roughly double what you'd see on a standard valve, so flow resistance goes up in exchange for that tighter seal. For systems where even small leakage creates drift or efficiency problems, that's usually a worthwhile trade.
