Brass Male Bspt X Hose Barb

Description & Features

Manufactured from brass, this straight-configuration Brass Male Bspt X Hose Barb provides a reliable transition between a 1/4" male BSPT threaded connection (R 1/4-19) and a 3/8" hose barb. The male BSPT thread conforms to the British Standard Pipe Taper profile, making it compatible with equipment and fittings that use this thread form across a range of industrial fluid systems.

The 3/8" barb end is designed to accept push-on or clamp-secured hose, offering a straightforward method of connecting flexible hose lines to threaded ports. Brass construction provides good corrosion resistance and is well suited to use with water, air, oil, and many hydraulic fluids. Sourced from Adaptall, a recognized manufacturer of industrial fluid connector solutions.

got a piece of equipment here with a 1/4 BSPT threaded port and I need to run a flexible hose off it, will this fitting make that connection work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 12, 2026, 9:57 AM
Yeah, that's exactly what this part is for. One end is a 1/4" male BSPT thread, which matches the R 1/4-19 taper profile, so it'll thread right into a female BSPT port. The other end is a 3/8" hose barb, which accepts flexible hose pushed on and either clamped or secured with a crimp sleeve depending on your setup. Brass holds up well in fluid systems running water, air, oil, or hydraulic fluid, so it's a solid choice for most standard hydraulic connections transitions.
