this switch say it's non-adjustable, what exactly does that mean for day to day use on the floor?

Non-adjustable means the switch comes factory-set and stays that way. There's no field calibration, no threshold tuning, nothing to dial in. For most industrial setups that's actually a plus since it cuts down on the chance somebody tweaks something and throws off your operation. You put it in, it does its job, and you leave it alone.
