Got a machine running JIC fittings on one side and BSPP on the other, does this adapter go straight between them without needing anything extra?

That's exactly what this fitting handles. One end is a 1/4" male JIC with a 7/16-20 UNF thread, and the other is a 1/8" male BSPP running a G 1/8-28 thread. Both sides are male, so you're threading into female ports on each end. No additional adapters needed to bridge those two thread standards.
