trying to hook a 1/4 ORB port to a 3/8 BSPP line, is this the right adapter?

For that thread combo, it matches up as a straight steel adapter with a 1/4 inch male SAE O-Ring Boss end (7/16-20 UNF) on one side and a 3/8 inch male BSPP end (G 3/8-19) on the other.

Got a machine running BSPP ports and the rest of my system is SAE ORB, this fitting gonna bridge that gap without needing extra pieces?

That's what this one's built for. One end is a 1/4" male SAE O-Ring Boss with a 7/16-20 UNF thread, and the other is a 3/8" male BSPP with a G 3/8-19 thread. Steel construction, straight configuration, so you're connecting those two standards directly with no additional adapters in between.
