Bspt X Npt Nipple

Description & Features

Constructed from steel in a straight configuration, this 2" male BSPT to 2" male NPT nipple provides a reliable thread-form transition between British Standard Pipe Taper and National Pipe Thread connections. With a thread callout of R 2-11 on the BSPT side and 2-11.5 NPTF on the NPT side, it is well suited for industrial hydraulic systems where these two thread standards must be joined without adapters on each end.

The Bspt X Npt Nipple is manufactured by Adaptall and measures 71.2mm in overall length with a 63.5mm across-flats width, making it a compact solution for tight installation environments. Both ends are male, allowing direct connection between female-ported components on either side of the joint.

Question by: Kurt H on Feb 20, 2026, 6:29 PM
Will this nipple work to connect a BSPT fitting to an NPT one? I'm always getting them mixed up.
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 21, 2026, 8:23 PM
That's precisely what this nipple is designed for. It provides a reliable transition between BSPT and NPT thread types, so you can connect components using these different standards without needing extra adapters.

Got a piece of equipment with a 2" female BSPT port and need to tie it into a line that's threaded NPT on the other end. This nipple do the job without needing two separate adapters in between?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 4, 2025, 9:55 PM
That's exactly what this fitting is built for. Both ends are male, one side is R 2-11 BSPT and the other is 2-11.5 NPTF, so you can thread it straight into a female BSPT port on one end and a female NPT port on the other without stacking adapters. It's a single-piece steel nipple, straight configuration, made by Adaptall under part number 9008-32-32.
Question by: Duane W on Mar 15, 2026, 6:58 AM
got a female 2 inch BSPT port on one side and a female 2 inch NPT on the other. Is this the piece that ties those together?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 17, 2026, 6:11 AM
For joining those two thread standards directly, it’s a straight steel nipple with male threads on both ends: 2 inch BSPT (R 2-11) on one side and 2 inch NPTF (2-11.5) on the other, so it mates into female ports on each end.
