Constructed from steel in a straight configuration, this 1/2" Male JIC X Female JIC Swivel provides a same-size, same-thread connection on both ends, with a male JIC fitting on one side and a rotating female JIC fitting on the other. Both sides carry a 3/4-16 UNF thread callout, making this adapter well-suited for hydraulic line assemblies where rotational freedom is needed to prevent hose twist during installation or repositioning.

Got a hose that wants to twist up every time I go to hook it in, would something like this swivel fitting fix that problem?

That's the kind of situation this fitting handles. The female end rotates independently, so when you're threading the connection in, the hose doesn't have to spin with it. That rotational freedom keeps tension and twist from building up during installation or any time you reposition the line. Both ends are 3/4-16 UNF, so as long as you're working with 1/2" JIC fittings on both sides, it'll drop right in without needing any size adapters.

What size are the threads on this swivel fitting?

The threads on both ends of this JIC swivel are 3/4-16 UNF, which are the same size.

trying to swap out an adapter on a hose, is this one 1/2 jic on both ends or is it mixed?

Both ends are 1/2 inch JIC with the same 3/4-16 UNF thread callout. One side is male JIC and the other side is a female JIC swivel, so it mates to a same size JIC flare connection without changing thread size.
