Male Bspp X Female Jic Swivel

Description & Features

Constructed from steel in a straight configuration, this Male BSPP X Female JIC Swivel provides a reliable cross-standard connection between G 1/8-28 (BSPP) male and 7/16-20 UNF (JIC) female threads. The 1/8" BSPP side mates with parallel-threaded British Standard fittings, while the 1/4" JIC swivel end accommodates 37-degree flare connections commonly found in hydraulic lines and fluid power assemblies.

Manufactured by Adaptall, the fitting measures 33mm in overall length with 14mm across both wrench flats, making it straightforward to install in confined spaces where a direct thread-to-thread transition between BSPP and JIC standards is required. The swivel design on the JIC side allows for angular adjustment during assembly, reducing stress on connected lines.

got a hose end with a 1/4 JIC female swivel, will this adapt it over to a G 1/8-28 BSPP male port?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 15, 2025, 2:47 PM
Use it when you need to go from a G 1/8-28 BSPP male connection on one side to a 7/16-20 UNF female JIC swivel on the other. The JIC end is a 1/4 size swivel made for 37 degree flare hookups.

Will this here fitting hold up alright in a hydraulic setup on my tractor? Just wanna make sure it can handle the pressure and whatnot.

This steel fitting is designed to provide a reliable connection between BSPP and JIC standards, which are commonly used in hydraulic systems.
Question by: Connie H on Jan 11, 2026, 12:20 PM
Got a hydraulic line running 1/4" JIC female on one end and the equipment port is BSPP, this fitting bridge that gap or do I need something else in between?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 13, 2026, 6:54 AM
Yeah, that's exactly what this one's for. The male end is G 1/8-28 BSPP, so it threads straight into a parallel-thread British Standard port, and the female JIC side accepts your 37-degree flare connection at 7/16-20 UNF. No additional adapter needed between the two. The swivel on the JIC end also lets you rotate the line during assembly so you're not fighting the hose to get everything lined up.
