Bspp Countersunk Sealed Plug

Description & Features

Manufactured from steel, this G 1-1/2 - 11 male BSPP threaded plug is designed to seal unused or inactive ports in hydraulic circuits. The countersunk profile keeps the fitting flush or low-profile when installed, making it well suited for applications where clearance around port faces is limited. At 22.5mm in length and 55mm across the hex width, the plug is sized for reliable torque application during installation and removal.

Supplied by Adaptall, the BSPP Countersunk Sealed Plug covers a 1-1/2" port size and is a practical choice for closing off BSPP ports on manifolds, valves, cylinders, and related hydraulic components where a secure, leak-free seal is required.

Question by: Todd E on Jun 15, 2025, 12:52 PM
Got a manifold block with a 1-1/2 inch BSPP port I need to cap off, will this plug work for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 16, 2025, 5:58 PM
That's the kind of application this plug is built for. It's a male G 1-1/2 - 11 BSPP threaded fitting, so it'll thread directly into a female 1-1/2 inch BSPP port on a manifold. The countersunk profile keeps it sitting low once it's installed, which helps if clearance around that port face is tight. Steel construction, 55mm hex width for solid torque during installation.

trying to cap off an unused port on a manifold, is this the right kind of plug for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 16, 2025, 8:52 PM
For sealing off unused or inactive ports in a hydraulic circuit, this plug is meant for exactly that job. It is a steel, male BSPP plug sized for a 1-1/2 inch port with a G 1-1/2 - 11 thread, commonly used on manifolds, valves, cylinders, and similar hydraulic components.

What size is the hex on this plug? Just makin' sure my wrench will fit.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 22, 2025, 7:57 PM
The hex width on this BSPP countersunk plug is 55mm, so you'll need a wrench that size to tighten or remove it.
