Metric Countersunk Sealed Plug

Description & Features

Designed for sealing metric-threaded ports in hydraulic systems, this steel plug features an M12 x 1.5 male thread and a countersunk profile suited for flush or recessed installation. The countersunk geometry allows the plug to seat cleanly within a port face, making it a practical choice where clearance is limited or a low-profile finish is required.

Manufactured by Adaptall, the Metric Countersunk Sealed Plug measures 16.3mm in length with a 17mm across-flats width for standard wrench engagement. Steel construction provides the durability expected in industrial hydraulic applications. This plug is commonly used to cap unused or inactive ports on manifolds, valves, cylinders, and similar hydraulic components.

Got an M12 x 1.5 port on a manifold that ain't being used right now, this plug gonna sit flush with the face or does it stick out some?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 19, 2026, 1:25 PM
Countersunk geometry is the whole point of this plug. It seats down into the port face rather than protruding above it, so you end up with a low-profile finish that works well in tight clearance situations. The overall length is 16.3mm, but the countersunk shape means the installed profile stays clean against the surface. Good choice for manifold ports where space around the fitting area is limited.

got a metric port i aint using, is this plug the one that sits down flush in the face?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 4, 2026, 6:23 AM
With the countersunk profile, it’s meant to seat down into the port face for a flush or recessed finish. That makes it handy on manifolds, valves, cylinders, and similar hydraulic parts where you want a low-profile cap on an unused port.
