trying to hook up a line with R 1 - 11 on it. is this the adapter that goes from that to a G 1/2 - 14 female?

On the thread ends, it matches what you described. Side 1 is a 1 inch BSPT male with an R 1 - 11 callout, and Side 2 is a 1/2 inch BSPP female with a G 1/2 - 14 callout.

got a 1 inch male BSPT fitting on a hydraulic line and need to step it down to a half inch female BSPP port, this the right adapter for that?

That's what this one does. One end is a 1 inch male BSPT thread, marked R 1-11, and the other is a 1/2 inch female BSPP, marked G 1/2-14. Steel construction, straight body, so it drops right in without any angle or offset. Part number is 9032-16-08 from Adaptall America if you need to cross-reference it on anything.

Meant for converting between two different British pipe thread styles, it has a 1 inch male BSPT end (R 1 - 11) on one side and a 1/2 inch female BSPP end (G 1/2 - 14) on the other.
