Male Bspt X Female Npt

Description & Features

Constructed from steel, this straight hydraulic adapter provides a reliable threaded connection between a male BSPT port and a female NPT port, both in the 1/2" size. The male side carries an R 1/2 - 14 BSPT thread, while the female side accepts a 1/2 - 14 NPTF thread, making it well suited for joining British and North American threaded components within a single hydraulic circuit.

The Male Bspt X Female NPT adapter is manufactured by Adaptall and measures 45.2mm in length with a 27mm CH width. Its straight configuration simplifies inline installations where a direct thread-type conversion is needed without angular offset.

Question by: Neal S on Sep 26, 2025, 12:52 PM
Got some British-threaded components I'm trying to tie into a North American hydraulic setup. This the kind of fitting that bridges that gap?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 27, 2025, 8:45 PM
Exactly what it's built for. The male end runs R 1/2 - 14 BSPT, which is the British standard taper thread, and the female end accepts a 1/2 - 14 NPTF, which is your North American pipe thread standard. Both sides are 1/2 inch, so you're getting a same-size conversion in a straight, inline configuration. No angled offset, no reducers needed. Steel construction, 45.2mm long, 27mm across the hex. Made by Adaptall under part number 9042-08-08.

Will this adapter handle standard hydraulic pressures without leaking?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 15, 2026, 6:44 AM
Designed to create a reliable connection between BSPT and NPTF threads, this steel adapter should perform well in typical hydraulic systems when properly installed.

got a valve with an R 1/2 - 14 BSPT port and my hose end is 1/2 - 14 NPTF, is this the right little adapter to marry them up
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 20, 2025, 9:39 PM
Built for thread conversion, it connects a male R 1/2 - 14 BSPT on one side to a female 1/2 - 14 NPTF on the other, so it’s a straight way to join BSPT and NPT components when both ends are the 1/2 inch size.
