what's the thread situation on both ends of this fitting? trying to match up a JIC line to a BSPP port and want to make sure I got the right sizes before I order
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 2, 2026, 11:41 AM
One end is a 1/2 inch Male JIC on a 3/4-16 UNF thread, and the other end is a 1/4 inch Male BSPP on a G 1/4-19 thread. So yeah, if you've got a JIC hydraulic line on one side and a BSPP port on the other, this elbow is built to bridge exactly that connection. Both ends are male, so make sure your mating ports are female on both sides before you pull the trigger.

trying to swap an elbow out on a machine, is this the one that goes from 1/2" JIC to 1/4" BSPP?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 4, 2025, 8:17 PM
The key details are the thread types and sizes: one side is a 1/2 inch male JIC with a 3/4-16 UNF thread, and the other side is a 1/4 inch male BSPP with a G 1/4-19 thread. It is a 90 degree elbow, steel, with 19 mm wrench flats on both ends.
