Constructed from steel, this 90-degree elbow connects a 1-1/4" Male JIC fitting (1-5/8–12 UN thread) to a 1-1/4" Male BSPT fitting (R 1-1/4–11 thread), making it a practical solution for joining JIC and BSPT hydraulic lines at a right angle. The 90° Mjic X Mbspt Elbow is an Adaptall product, suited for hydraulic systems where a directional change is required between these two thread standards.
The steel construction provides durability suited to demanding hydraulic environments, and the elbow configuration allows routing changes without the need for additional adapters or fittings. Both sides are male, so compatibility with corresponding female ports on equipment or hose assemblies should be confirmed before installation.

Question by: Hubert S on May 10, 2025, 4:18 PM
trying to hook a 1-1/4 jic hose end to a 1-1/4 bspt port, and i need a 90. is this the right elbow?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 12, 2025, 11:31 AM
For that setup, it matches a 1-1/4 inch Male JIC on one end with 1-5/8-12 UN threads, and a 1-1/4 inch Male BSPT on the other end with R 1-1/4-11 threads, in a 90 degree elbow. Since both ends are male, it’s meant to thread into the corresponding female JIC and female BSPT connections.
Question by: Janice R on Dec 17, 2025, 6:25 AM
Both sides on this thing are male, so what exactly am I supposed to be connecting it to on each end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 19, 2025, 6:40 AM
Each side threads into a corresponding female port. The JIC side needs a 1-1/4" female JIC port with a 1-5/8-12 UN thread, and the BSPT side needs a 1-1/4" female BSPT port with an R 1-1/4-11 thread. Before you go to install it, just make sure both mating ports are female, since there's no built-in flexibility there. It's a common setup when you're bridging JIC hydraulic lines over to equipment that uses BSPT porting.
Question by: Warren H on Dec 14, 2025, 6:48 PM
What kind of hydraulic fluid is okay to run through this elbow?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 16, 2025, 1:49 PM
This elbow is made from steel, so it's compatible with a wide range of hydraulic fluids. Just make sure the fluid is appropriate for the rest of your system's components too.
