trying to split a line, what’s the thread setup on this tee and what size are the ports?

All three ports are BSPP G 1/2 - 14. The run of the tee has two male BSPP ports, and the branch port is female BSPP, so you can keep the same BSPP thread form across the connections.

All three ports on this thing are 1/2 inch BSPP, does that mean I can't use it where I need two different sizes meeting at the branch?

Correct. Every port on this fitting is G 1/2-14 BSPP, so all three connections have to be the same size and thread type. If your circuit needs two different sizes coming together at a branch point, this particular tee won't get you there. You'd need a reducing tee or a combination of adapters to make that work.
