A straight steel adapter connecting a 1/2" Male ORB (SAE) thread to a 1/2" Female BSPP port, this Male Orb X Female BSPP fitting is designed for hydraulic systems where SAE and British Standard Parallel Pipe connections must interface. The male side features a 3/4-16 UNF thread form, while the female side carries a G 1/2-14 BSPP thread, a common cross-standard pairing in mixed-specification hydraulic circuits.
Constructed from steel, this straight-body adapter is well-suited for moderate- to high-pressure hydraulic line connections in mobile and industrial equipment. Adaptall's interchangeable adapter system allows this fitting to be paired with compatible hose ends for flexible circuit assembly.

Question by: Harvey J on Dec 7, 2025, 8:49 PM
Got a piece of equipment that's got a SAE port on one end and a BSPP port on the other, will this adapter actually bridge those two without needing some kind of conversion block?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 9, 2025, 6:42 AM
That's what this fitting handles. One side is a 3/4-16 UNF male ORB thread, which is your SAE standard, and the other side is a G 1/2-14 female BSPP thread. Straight body, steel construction, so you're getting a direct connection between those two standards without any intermediate hardware. Pretty common situation in mixed-spec hydraulic circuits, and this adapter is built for just that pairing.
Question by: Tony W on Aug 30, 2025, 6:37 PM
Will this fitting hold up in a hydraulic system running around 2500 PSI?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 1, 2025, 1:16 PM
Constructed from steel, this adapter can certainly handle hydraulic systems operating at moderate to high pressures, making 2500 PSI well within its capabilities.
