Question by: Lee M on Jul 19, 2025, 9:51 PM
Reckon this'll hold up okay in a paper mill environment, with all the moisture and whatnot?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 21, 2025, 9:29 AM
Buna-N seals give this valve good compatibility with a range of hydraulic fluids, which should help it hold up, but you'll want to check that the fluid you're using is compatible with Buna-N.

got a setup that needs a directional valve, is this one 3-way or 4-way?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 2, 2026, 6:16 AM
Function-wise, it is a single-stage directional control valve that provides three- or four-way flow control, so it can be applied in either type of circuit depending on the configuration.
Question by: Wes W on Feb 3, 2026, 8:23 AM
flow rate on this valve is listed at 120 litres per minute, that enough for a press application or is it gonna be cutting it close?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 4, 2026, 1:54 PM
For press applications, 120 litres per minute is a solid flow capacity, and the DG4V-5 series is actually called out specifically for press use. Whether it's enough depends on your system's demand at peak cycle, but the valve itself is rated and suited for that environment. If your press isn't pulling anywhere near that ceiling, you've got plenty of headroom.
