Constructed from black Cordura or Anso-tex bulk nylon fiber yarn the sleeve provides exceptional durability with a doubled flat thickness of 0.090 inches 0.020 inches. Operating effectively in severe abrasive conditions it extends hose life considerably. The sleeve has a maximum ambient temperature rating of 250F.

The TOMPKINS PROTEC 1.25 IN ID Cordura Sleeve passes FMVSS 302 horizontal flame test and is MSHA accepted. Its smooth-bore design facilitates easy installation over hoses chains cables or springs securing with nylon cable ties or band clamps.

This abrasion protection sleeve offers excellent personal injury protection by deflecting the spray of hot hydraulic fluids in case of hose failure. Its also ideal for holding two or more hoses in a single bundle ensuring identical flex memory for all hoses in the group bundle.

Beyond reducing the need for bulkhead couplings it shields hoses required to pass through metal openings. The sleeve's self-renewing abrasion-resistant fabric thickens as it wears forming a more protective shield.

i’ve got a couple hoses rubbing on a bracket. is this sleeve the kind that’ll actually take the scuffing and not wear through right away?

In rough, abrasive spots, the Protec sleeve is made to take the rubbing and help the hose underneath last longer. It is woven from lots of nylon filaments in Cordura or Anso-tex yarn, and as the outside gets scuffed those filaments frizz up and build a thicker, more protective shield over time.
