Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve, Inch ID

Description & Features

The Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve offers high durability through its construction from Black Cordura or Anso-tex bulk nylon fiber yarn. This abrasion-resistant fabric is meticulously woven from thousands of nylon filaments into a robust sleeve.

This smooth-bore sleeve easily installs over hoses chains cables or springs and can be secured with nylon cable ties or band-clamps. It provides exceptional protection to equipment operators by deflecting the spray of hot hydraulic fluids in the event of hose failure. Additionally it extends hose life in severe abrasive environments.

Applicable in scenarios requiring the bundling of two or more hoses the sleeve maintains a consistent flex pattern potentially eliminating the need for bulkhead couplings by protecting hoses passing through metal openings.

Product Questions & Answers (5)

Question by: Floyd C on Dec 31, 2025, 7:32 AM
got a 1.59 inch hose, is this sleeve sized to slip over it or is that ID measured some other way
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 1, 2026, 6:45 PM
For this sleeve, the nominal inside diameter is 1.59 inches, so it is intended to fit over a hose, cable, chain, or spring with about that outside size. It is a smooth-bore woven nylon sleeve, so you slide it over and then secure the ends with nylon cable ties or band clamps.
Question by: Judy M on Jan 18, 2026, 11:52 AM
does this sleeve work for bundling multiple hoses together or is it just meant for single hose protection
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 20, 2026, 6:10 AM
Bundling is actually one of the stronger use cases for this sleeve. You can run two or more hoses through it and keep them grouped along the same path. One added benefit when you do that is all the hoses in the bundle develop the same flex memory over time, which helps reduce uneven wear across the group. It installs easily and can be secured with nylon cable ties or band clamps once everything is routed the way you need it.
Question by: Rex W on Dec 30, 2025, 7:02 PM
What temperature can this sleeve handle before it starts to break down?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 1, 2026, 5:36 PM
Maximum ambient temperature for this nylon abrasion protection sleeve is 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Question by: Frank B on Oct 18, 2025, 7:28 PM
What size clamps should I get to hold this sleeve in place? Just want to make sure I get the right ones.
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 19, 2025, 8:19 PM
For securing the Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve, nylon cable ties or band clamps will work well. The product description mentions these as suitable options.
Question by: Jimmy C on Aug 26, 2025, 11:56 AM
trying to keep a couple hydraulic hoses from rubbing on a bracket, is this sleeve meant for that kind of deal?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 28, 2025, 6:12 AM
For abrasion control and added safety, it slips over hoses and takes the scuffing instead of the hose cover. It is also used to deflect hot hydraulic fluid spray if a hose fails, and it helps hoses last longer in rough, abrasive spots.
