Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve, Inch ID

Description & Features

Constructed from black Cordura or Anso-tex bulk nylon fiber yarn this abrasion protection sleeve is an essential tool for industrial applications. Its smooth-bore design allows for easy installation over hoses chains cables or springs. The sleeve is designed to extend the lifespan of hoses in highly abrasive environments.

As it undergoes wear the nylon filaments form a thicker protective barrier making it highly abrasion-resistant. This protective sleeve is also effective in preventing personal injury by deflecting the spray of hot hydraulic fluids in the event of hose failure. Ideal for bundling two or more hoses it helps maintain identical flex memory in hose groups that need to follow the same flex pattern.

The sleeve meets FMVSS 302 horizontal flame test standards and is MSHA accepted ensuring high safety levels. It can also eliminate the need for bulkhead couplings by shielding hoses that need to pass through metal openings thereby enhancing the overall safety and durability of your equipment.

Temperature Rating: 250F Maximum Ambient.

Question by: Glen B on Jan 11, 2026, 3:28 PM
What size hose will this sleeve protect? Just wanna make sure it's gonna fit my application.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 13, 2026, 8:11 AM
This sleeve is designed for hoses with a 1.75-inch nominal outer diameter. Keep in mind the doubled flat thickness is roughly 0.09 inches, so it adds a little to the overall size.
Question by: Howard H on Feb 14, 2026, 3:30 PM
got a bundle of hydraulic hoses running through a metal opening in the frame and they keep chaffing up bad. would this sleeve help with that or is it more just for wrapping exposed runs?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 16, 2026, 6:30 AM
Running hoses through metal openings is actually one of the specific situations this sleeve handles well. The nylon construction builds up a protective barrier between the hose surface and the edge of the opening, and because the filaments friz as they wear, the protection actually thickens over time rather than thinning out. The 1.75 inch inside diameter fits the bundle through the opening, and in some cases it can eliminate the need for bulkhead couplings entirely when hoses have to pass through metal cutouts like that.
Question by: Vince O on Jul 18, 2025, 6:58 PM
does this sleeve work for bundling multiple hoses together, or is it really just meant for single hose protection?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 20, 2025, 3:52 PM
Bundling is actually one of the things it handles pretty well. You can run two or more hoses through it at once, and when hoses need to follow the same flex path, keeping them together in a single sleeve helps them all develop the same flex memory over time. Securing the ends with nylon cable ties or band clamps keeps everything neat and in place.
Question by: Ricky M on Sep 30, 2025, 7:54 AM
got a 1.75 inch hose, is that ID on this sleeve the inside size so it’ll slide over it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 1, 2025, 11:51 AM
The 1.75 inch spec is the sleeve’s nominal inside diameter. It’s a smooth-bore sleeve made to slip over things like hoses, chains, cables, or springs, then you secure it with nylon cable ties or band-clamps.
Question by: Lee S on Aug 25, 2025, 7:01 AM
What size hose does this sleeve fit best? Seems like 1.75" ID is the target, right?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 26, 2025, 1:20 PM
That's right, this sleeve is designed for hoses with a 1.75 inch outside diameter. It'll give you a snug fit for optimal abrasion protection.
