Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve, Inch ID

Description & Features

Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve tailored to shield hoses and cables from damage in severe abrasive environments promoting longevity and reliability. Crafted with black Cordura or Anso-tex bulk nylon fiber yarn this sleeve performs at a maximum ambient temperature of 250F.

Meeting the standards of FMVSS 302 horizontal flame test and MSHA acceptance it offers a robust solution for industrial applications. The fabric is woven from numerous nylon filaments which when worn form a thicker protective layer.

Ideal for use as a hose cover to provide protection against hot hydraulic fluid sprays in case of hose failure enhancing safety for equipment operators. This smooth-bore sleeve is easy to install over hoses chains cables or springs and can be secured with nylon cable ties or band clamps.

Additionally it supports bundling of multiple hoses ensuring identical flex memory across the group. This feature can eliminate the need for bulkhead couplings by protecting hoses passing through metal openings.

Nominal I.D.: 2.54 inches.

Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Howard W on Oct 16, 2025, 1:43 PM
Does this sleeve actually hold up when its rubbing against metal edges all day, or does it just wear through like regular hose wrap?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 18, 2025, 6:51 AM
The construction is what sets it apart from standard wrap products. It's woven from thousands of nylon filaments, and as the outer surface gets scuffed, those filaments friz up and actually build a thicker protective layer over time. So instead of thinning out, it kind of renews itself under abrasion. That self-renewing behavior is the reason it's used in severe abrasive environments, not just light-duty routing situations.
Question by: Scott P on Dec 10, 2025, 12:39 PM
got a 2.5 inch hose bundle, is the 2.54 ID sleeve gonna slide over it or is it pretty snug
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 12, 2025, 6:43 AM
The nominal inside diameter on this sleeve is 2.54 inches, and it is a smooth-bore Cordura or Anso-tex style nylon sleeve. It is meant to slide over hoses, chains, cables, or springs, and it is commonly used to bundle two or more hoses together.
Question by: Jimmy P on Nov 28, 2025, 9:55 PM

Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 30, 2025, 6:44 AM
