Nylon Abrasion Protection Sleeve, Inch ID

Description & Features

Passes FMVSS 302 horizontal flame test MSHA accepted this abrasion-resistant fabric sleeve is ideal for preventing hose wear in high-friction environments. Constructed from black Cordura or Anso-tex bulk nylon fiber yarn the doubled flat thickness measures 0.090 inches 0.020 inches. With a nominal ID of 3.66 inches it is suitable for use over hoses chains cables or springs secured by nylon cable ties or band-clamps.

This abrasion-resistant sleeve is designed to extend hose life providing a shield that becomes thicker as it wears over time. The smooth-bore structure ensures easy installation and it offers substantial protection against hot hydraulic fluid spray to equipment operators in case of hose failure. Additionally it holds two or more hoses in a bundle ensuring identical flex memory for grouped hoses and potentially eliminates the need for bulkhead couplings.

With a high-temperature rating of up to 250F this protective sleeve is effective in various severe environments. Applications include bundling hoses for consistent flex patterns and shielding hoses passing through metal openings.

Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Billy C on Mar 26, 2026, 8:00 PM
Got some hydraulic hoses running through a metal panel cutout and they keep wearing through. Would this sleeve hold up in that kind of situation?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 28, 2026, 7:50 AM
That's actually one of the specific use cases this sleeve was built for. Passing hoses through metal openings is rough on the outer jacket, and the nylon construction here gives you a self-renewing layer of protection. As the material scuffs and frays from contact with the metal edge, the filaments friz outward and actually build up a thicker protective barrier over time rather than just wearing thin. Securing it with nylon cable ties or band-clamps keeps it in place once installed.

What's the max temp this sleeve can handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 27, 2025, 7:33 AM
This sleeve is rated to handle temperatures up to 250°F.
