Description & Features

The 2-gallon round steel reservoir offered by SPX Flow US LLC is part of the Stone Pick-A-Pack Power Units series featuring modular construction pioneered by Stone Hydraulics. This construction ensures that all components are designed to be interchangeable providing flexibility in system configurations.

This product includes a mounting foot compatible with reservoirs of 1.5 gallons and larger. The integrated valve kits come with color-coded relief springs for a range of PSI levels allowing for precise hydraulic control. The SPX Stone Pick-A-Pack product range also includes a continuous duty AC motor essential for maintaining operational efficiency.

The endhead design supports both imperial and metric mounting threads and is available with NPTF SAE or G3/8 porting options. For pump flows over 3 GPM a larger suction strainer is recommended. As part of this adaptable system any combination of drive motor pump reservoir and control valving can be assembled.

got a Stone Pick-A-Pack build going. is this KR42 reservoir one of the modular pieces that swaps in with the rest of the system?

In the Stone Pick A Pack range, the components are built around a modular, interchangeable setup. Reservoirs, pumps, motors, and control valving are meant to mate to the “international” endhead so you can mix and match combinations within that system.

Mounting feet are included on 1.5 gallon and larger reservoirs, so the 2 gallon unit ships with one already. No need to source it separately.

got an older Stone Pick-A-Pack unit, are the pump mounting threads on these the same as the new ones?

On the current endhead design the pump mounting thread is 5/16-24, while older endhead designs used an M8 mounting thread. Pump kits include both imperial and metric mounting bolts and washers, and the mounting bolts are grade 5 and not meant to be substituted.
