got a Dixon AG4F4 here, is it a 1/2 inch male NPTF ball valve or am i mixing parts up
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 20, 2026, 7:07 AM
For fit and thread type, the AG4F4 is described as a 1/2 inch male hydraulic quick connect FTP ball valve with a 1/2 NPTF connection, and it is built as a 1/2 AG nipple style ball valve.
Question by: Scott B on Jun 15, 2025, 1:02 PM
Does this Dixon quick connect need any thread sealant when you're putting it in, or does it just thread straight in without all that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 16, 2025, 4:07 PM
No sealant required. The fitting is built to thread directly into place without needing tape, compound, or any other sealant to get a secure connection. That keeps the install straightforward and cuts down on the extra steps most folks want to avoid when swapping fittings in the field.
