Crafted from high-grade Aluminum A356 or A104, this female cam & groove coupler is ideal for liquid applications. It is compatible with standard A-A-59326 or DIN 2828 products, except for 1/2rdquo; and 8rdquo; sizes.

The cam levers are constructed from durable brass, while the pins, rings, and safety clips are plated steel. The Buna-N seals ensure a reliable connection. The product incorporates a safety pin feature to prevent unintended disconnection.

To couple, simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down. To uncouple, lift the cam arms and remove the adapter. With a pressure rating of 150 PSI for sizes 1/2rdquo; to 4rdquo; and 75 PSI for 5rdquo; to 8rdquo;, this coupler can handle demanding conditions.

Will this cam and groove coupler work with other brands? I've got some from a different supplier already.

Interchanges with all cam and groove products made to the A-A-59326 (superseding MIL-C-27487F) or DIN 2828 standards. Just a heads up, the 1/2" and 8" sizes might be a little finicky when mixing and matching.

safety pins on these cam lock couplers -- how do they actually work? like what keeps it from coming apart on accident?

Cast-in lugs on the female coupler body line up with slots in the cam lever arms once the adapter is fully seated. You drop a safety pin through those lugs and the coupler physically cannot be uncoupled until that pin is pulled. It's a mechanical lock, not just friction or tension. Good feature to have anywhere you can't afford an accidental disconnect mid-flow.

got a 1-1/2 inch ID hose, is this the right female camlock to clamp on, or am i mixin up sizes

For a 1-1/2 inch ID hose, the ALC-150 is the matching size since it is a female cam and groove coupler with a 1-1/2 inch ID hose barb (hose shank).
