The Aluminum Cam & Groove Coupler Female Half 2-1/2 Inch ID Hose Barb is engineered for liquid applications ensuring reliable compatibility and performance.

Made from high-quality Aluminum A356 or A104 this coupler features brass cam levers and plated steel pins rings and safety clips. The integrated safety clip adds an extra layer of security by preventing accidental uncoupling.

Designed to interchange with standard A-A-59326 and DIN 2828 products it accommodates a range of sizes making it versatile for various industrial needs.

The coupling and uncoupling process is straightforward enhancing efficiency in demanding environments. Note: This coupler should never be used with compressed air or steam service.

Manufactured by Sunrise Hose the coupler ensures durability and consistent performance under pressure ratings up to 150 PSI for sizes 1/2 - 4 and 75 PSI for 5 to 8.

Will this cam and groove fitting work with other brands, or is it proprietary?

Interchangeability is a key feature. It's designed to work with any product made to A-A-59326 (which used to be MIL-C-27487F) or DIN 2828 standards. Just a heads-up though, the 1/2" and 8" sizes sometimes don't play well with other brands.

Safety clip on these cam locks -- how's that actually work when you're trying to uncouple in a hurry?

Cast-in lugs on the female coupler body let you slide a safety pin through once the adapter is fully seated and the cam levers are locked down. Until that pin is pulled out, the levers physically can't lift, so the connection won't release on its own or by accident. When you're ready to disconnect, pull the pin, lift the cam arms, and the adapter slides right out. It adds maybe two seconds to the process but keeps things from popping loose under pressure or vibration.
