Description & Features

This 4 inch Aluminum Cam & Groove Adapter dust cap from Dixon Valve & Coupling is designed for use with liquids. It is interchangeable with all products produced to standard A-A-59326 (superseding MIL-C-27487F) or DIN 2828.

The body is constructed from Aluminum A356 or A104, with brass cam levers, and plated steel pins, rings, and safety clips. Buna-N seals ensure a tight connection. To couple, slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down. To uncouple, lift the cam arms and remove the adapter from the coupler. Female couplers feature cast-in lugs for attaching safety pins to prevent accidental uncoupling.

How do you hook this dust cap up? Just kinda shove it in?

What's this dust cap rated for pressure-wise, and is there anything it flat out ain't supposed to be used with?

For 4 inch cam and groove fittings in this size range, the pressure rating is 150 PSI. One hard limit worth knowing upfront: these couplings cannot be used with compressed air or steam under any circumstances. Liquid service only. The body is aluminum with brass cam levers, so it holds up well in typical fluid transfer applications, but keeping it off air and steam lines is non-negotiable.
