The Aluminum Cam & Groove Adapter 2-1/2 Inch Dust Cap is engineered with precision for seamless liquid transfer applications. This robust cam lock dust cap crafted from durable Aluminum A356 or A104 ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.

The cam levers made from brass coupled with plated steel pins rings and safety clips provide secure and efficient coupling and uncoupling operations. The Buna-N seals offer excellent resistance making it suitable for various liquid types.

For added safety the adapter features a safety pin design preventing accidental uncoupling until manually removed. The adapter interchanges with all products adhering to standard A-A-59326 and DIN 2828 providing compatibility and flexibility.

Capable of withstanding pressures up to 150 PSI for sizes 1/2 - 4 and 75 PSI for sizes 5 to 8 this adapter is designed for reliability in industrial fluid applications. Please note Cam & Groove Couplings should not be used with compressed air or steam.

The coupling process is straightforward: slide the adapter into the coupler then press the cam levers down with normal hand pressure. Uncoupling is just as simple by lifting the cam arms and removing the adapter.

got a 2-1/2 camlock, is this the cap that keeps the dirt out when it’s not hooked up?

For a 2-1/2 inch cam and groove connection, this dust cap is meant to cover the end when it is disconnected so debris stays out during liquid transfer setups. It is an aluminum cap with a Buna-N seal.

what's the pressure limit on this dust cap, and is it safe to run with compressed air lines?

Rated for 150 PSI at this 2-1/2 inch size, which falls in the half-inch through four-inch range. That said, cam and groove couplings flat out cannot be used with compressed air or steam, no exceptions. Stick to liquid transfer applications only.
