This aluminum cam & groove adapter, male half, inch female NPT is expertly engineered for liquid applications. The device features a robust aluminum A356 or A104 body material, ensuring durability and reliability in demanding industrial environments. Brass cam levers, along with plated steel pins, rings, and safety clips, contribute to its long-lasting performance.

The coupling and uncoupling process is designed for simplicity and efficiency. To couple, slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with normal hand pressure. For uncoupling, lift the cam arms and remove the adapter. The safety pin feature on female couplers prevents accidental disconnection, guaranteeing secure operations.

Interchangeability is assured with all products made to the standard A-A-59326 (superseding MIL-C-27487F) or DIN 2828 standards, except for the non-standard 1/2rdquo; and 8rdquo; sizes. The adapter supports pressure ratings of 150 PSI for sizes 1/2rdquo; to 4rdquo; and 75 PSI for 5rdquo; to 8rdquo;.

what's the pressure rating on this 2 inch cam lock? got a liquid transfer application running around 120 psi and just want to make sure it'll hold up

For 1/2 inch through 4 inch sizes, these aluminum cam and groove fittings are rated at 150 PSI. A 2 inch adapter running at 120 PSI falls well within that range, so you're in good shape for that application. Just keep in mind these are rated for liquid service only. Compressed air and steam are not suitable uses, no exceptions.

Interchangeability is one of the key features. It works with any product made to A-A-59326 or DIN 2828 standards. Just so you know, the 1/2" and 8" sizes might not always play nice with other brands.

For interchange, it is built to the A-A-59326 standard (which supersedes MIL-C-27487F) and also aligns with DIN 2828, so it is meant to mate with other cam and groove components made to those same standards.

is this fitting safe to run with compressed air lines? got a setup where we swap between water and air pretty regular

Cam and groove couplings like this one are rated for liquid service only. Using them on compressed air lines is not allowed under any circumstances, and the same goes for steam. If your system alternates between water and air, you'd want a different coupling type for the air side.
