This aluminum cam and groove adapter is designed for heavy-duty industrial applications, specifically for transferring liquids. The adapter is crafted from durable aluminum A356 or A104, ensuring long-term reliability and resistance to corrosion. Featuring brass cam levers, and plated steel pins, rings, and safety clips, the adapter guarantees secure and efficient connections.

To couple, simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with normal hand pressure. For uncoupling, lift the cam arms to remove the adapter. Compatible with all products produced to standard A-A-59326 or DIN 2828, except for 1/2rdquo; and 8rdquo; sizes, which do not interchange with other manufacturers.

Pressure ratings for this adapter are 150 PSI for sizes 1/2rdquo; - 4rdquo; and 75 PSI for sizes 5rdquo; to 8rdquo;. Note: Fitting attachment recommendations are available in the hose section of the catalog. Safety pin features on female couplers ensure secure operation by preventing accidental uncoupling.

got a 4 inch camlock coupler already, will this male adapter swap in and hook up like normal?

For 4 inch size, it is built to interchange with cam and groove products made to A-A-59326 (which supersedes MIL-C-27487F) or DIN 2828, so it should mate with a standard 4 inch camlock coupler. Coupling is the usual cam action, slide the adapter in and press the cam levers down by hand.

these cam lock fittings rated for compressed air lines or just liquid service?

Cam and groove couplings like this one are strictly for liquid service. Using them on compressed air or steam lines is not safe under any circumstances, and that applies regardless of size or material. If you're running an air system, you'll need a different coupling type altogether.

does this coupler work with standard cam and groove setups from other brands, or is it gonna be a headache trying to get it to fit with what i already got?

For sizes 1/2 inch and 8 inch, there's no universal standard, so those generally won't interchange with other manufacturers. Every other size on this adapter meets standard A-A-59326 and DIN 2828, which covers the vast majority of cam and groove equipment out there. If you're running anything in the 3/4 inch through 6 inch range, you're almost certainly good to go with your existing couplers.
