The Aluminum Cam & Groove Adapter Male Half 2 Inch Male NPT is a reliable solution specifically engineered for liquid applications. Manufactured by CAN Industrial Inc this adapter ensures seamless fluid transfer and is easy to operate. To couple simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with normal hand pressure.

Crafted from robust aluminum A356 or A104 the adapter features brass cam levers and plated steel components for enhanced durability. Enhanced safety is provided by female couplers with cast-in lugs enabling safety pins to lock the coupler securely. The seals are made from Buna-N to ensure a tight leak-free connection.

This adapter is designed to interchange with all products produced to standard A-A-59326 or DIN 2828 making it extremely versatile. Pressure ratings for the adapter are 150 PSI for sizes 1/2 to 4 and 75 PSI for sizes 5 to 8. However caution is advised as Cam & Groove Couplings should not be used with compressed air or steam services.

been using cam and groove fittings for years but always had steel ones, how's aluminum hold up for liquid transfer work, and what's the pressure rating on the 2 inch size?

Aluminum runs just fine for liquid transfer in most farm and industrial setups. The body is cast from A356 or A104 aluminum, which gives you a solid combination of light weight and corrosion resistance. For the 2 inch size, you're working within the 1/2 inch to 4 inch pressure range, so the rating is 150 PSI. The cam levers are brass and the pins and clips are plated steel, so the wear points are tougher than the body material. Buna-N seals handle the connection and keep things from weeping at the joint.

got a 2 inch male npt port on a pump, will this camlock adapter thread right in?

The threaded end on this adapter is 2 inch Male NPT, so it is made to screw into a 2 inch Female NPT port.
