Crafted by Sunrise Hose this Aluminum Cam & Groove Adapter Male Half 4 Inch Male NPT is specifically designed for transferring liquids efficiently. The adapter is fabricated from high-grade Aluminum A356 or A104 ensuring superior durability under demanding industrial conditions. Brass cam levers and plated steel pins and rings add to the strength and reliability of the unit.

The adapter features Buna-N seals providing excellent resistance to various chemicals and wear. For optimal performance the unit should be used within the specified pressure ratings: 150 PSI for sizes 1/2 4 and 75 PSI for sizes 5 8.

With interchangeability to standard A-A-59326 and DIN 2828 this product guarantees compatibility with other standardized components. It is vital to note that this adapter must not be used with compressed air or steam services.

For safe connection simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with hand pressure. Lifting the cam arms allows for easy disconnection. Additionally female couplers equipped with the cast-in lugs enable the use of safety pins securing the adapter in place and preventing accidental disconnection.

Pressure rating on this thing, is 150 PSI the max for a 4 inch size, or is that just a recommended working range?

For the 4 inch size, 150 PSI is the rated working pressure. That holds across sizes up to 4 inch. If you were running a 5 inch or larger, the rating drops down to 75 PSI, but at 4 inch you're sitting at the full 150. Just keep in mind this adapter is for liquid service only, compressed air and steam are off the table regardless of pressure.

got a 4 inch camlock setup already. is this the male half with 4" male NPT threads on the other end?

It is the male cam and groove adapter with a 4 inch male NPT threaded end. It is built to interchange with couplings made to A-A-59326 or DIN 2828 standards, and the 4 inch size carries a 150 PSI pressure rating.

Will this cam and groove adapter work with other brands?

Interchangeability is a key feature; it's designed to work with any product made to A-A-59326 (which used to be MIL-C-27487F) or DIN 2828 standards. Just a heads up, though, the 1/2" and 8" sizes aren't standardized and might not fit perfectly with other brands.
