Question by: Rick R on Apr 10, 2025, 7:14 PM
What kind of pressure can this thing handle? I'm using it for a water pump setup.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 11, 2025, 8:10 PM
Pressure ratings depend on the size. The 1/2" to 4" sizes are rated to 150 PSI. If you're using a 5" to 8" size, those are rated to 75 PSI.

got a 6 inch cam lock setup already. will this male half swap in with other brands or is it picky
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 25, 2026, 6:28 AM
For interchange, it follows A-A-59326 (which replaced MIL-C-27487F) and also DIN 2828, so it is meant to interchange with other couplings built to those same standards. One catch is that 8 inch sizes generally do not interchange across manufacturers, but 6 inch is not called out as a problem size.
Question by: Johnny E on Mar 28, 2026, 8:10 PM
Got a 6-inch male NPT on my transfer line and need a cam lock adapter to match up with it. This aluminum one gonna work or do I need something beefier for the size?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 30, 2026, 12:50 PM
For a 6-inch male NPT connection, this adapter fits the bill. The body is cast from aluminum A356 or A104, which holds up well in liquid transfer service at this size. Worth knowing the pressure rating for the 5-inch through 8-inch range is 75 PSI, so if your system runs higher than that, it would not be the right fit. Stay within that range on a liquid line and it should serve you fine.
