This Aluminum Cam & Groove Coupler Female Half 2-1/2 Inch Male NPT is expertly crafted with high-quality aluminum A356 or A104 material ensuring durability for industrial usage. The 2-1/2 inch size and male NPT threading offer reliable compatibility for liquid transfer applications.

Designed by Sunrise Hose and branded by Can Industrial Inc the coupler includes brass cam levers and plated steel pins rings and safety clips. The incorporated safety clip feature enhances secure connections by preventing accidental disconnection until pins are manually removed. This safety mechanism meets interchangeability standards interchanging with products adhering to A-A-59326 or DIN 2828.

Use of this coupler with compressed air or steam is strictly prohibited. The coupler withstands pressure ratings of up to 150 PSI for sizes 1/2" to 4" and 75 PSI for sizes 5" to 8". Seals are made from Buna-N providing additional leak protection.

To couple simply slide the adapter into the coupler and press the cam levers down with hand pressure. To uncouple lift the cam arms and remove the adapter.

Will this cam and groove fitting work with standard fittings, or do I need some special kind?

This coupler interchanges with all products made to A-A-59326 or DIN 2828 standards. Keep in mind that there's no standard for 1/2" and 8" sizes, and those might not work with other brands.

got a 2-1/2" male NPT port already, is this the right camlock half for it?

With a 2-1/2 inch male NPT thread on the back end, it threads into a matching 2-1/2 inch female NPT connection and gives you a female cam and groove coupler on the other side for quick connect to a cam groove adapter.
